Registered Nurse

Kristin Proctor is a registered nurse (RN) with more than 20 years of experience. Since 2008, she has maintained a National Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB). Kristin’s experience with childbirth extends beyond labor and delivery to prenatal, antepartum, and postpartum care. Today, Kristin draws upon her knowledge and experience to support and educate families affected by birth injuries.

Kristin began her nursing career in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, serving for 8 years as an army nurse. While serving as an army nurse, Kristin worked in different types of nursing specialties, including maternal-child health, medical and surgical, operating room (OR), and same-day surgery.

While in the Army, Kristin completed the highly specialized Obstetrical and Gynecological Nursing Course, which covers prenatal, antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum family care. Kristin’s accomplishments in the Army extended to her graduating with honors from the Army Medical Department’s (AMEDD) basic training course and becoming a collegiate Distinguished Military Graduate. After completing her service in the Army, she returned to New England to start her own family.

Based on her own experiences, working as a staff nurse and serving in several leadership roles, Kristin understands the standards of care and the expectations of medical staff that are necessary to maintain throughout the birthing process. She uses this insight to educate and support families affected by cerebral palsy and other birth injuries.
